Membership FAQ's

Our vision is to create an inviting and dynamic environment where we are inspired to strive for our full potential in all of our endeavors. If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of, read on.

Q: Why join? What are the benefits?
A: The most popular membership benefits are affordable tuition fees for classes, workshops and private lessons. Members also participate in Mosaique events, and they can attend free introductory and review classes offered throughout the year. Plus, Mosaique members have lots of fun! We have many social and cultural adventures, many of which are part of our performance opportunities.

Q: Who are your members?
A: Currently, our membership is predominantly professional women. While their ages range from 25 to 65, 50% are over 40. They pursue dance, music and creative endeavors for enrichment, exercise and social adventures. Their professions and backgrounds range from school teachers, nurses, science/engineering and information technology to business/marketing and media/journalism. They are of all skill levels from beginner to professional dancers and are of all shapes and sizes. Look for the Member Spotlight feature in our newsletter, Colorful Happenings!

Q: How do I know I’m going to like the classes? Can I watch first?
A: Trying out a class and actually participating is really the only way to find out if you enjoy the classes. Participating in a trial class also allows you to interact with other students to see if you would enjoy being a part of that dynamic. We want to make sure Mosaique and you are a good match, so we hope you will participate in a class or come to a show before becoming a member.

Q. What makes your dance classes stand out from other instructors and studios?
A:  Mosaique offers the only comprehensive approach to the study and practice of Middle Eastern dance. We offer a rich and dynamic approach which seamlessly weaves technique, artistry, musical knowledge and cultural understanding appropriately into each program. The music and culture drive and inspire the dance, yet they are the most neglected and misunderstood aspects of Middle Eastern dance education, except at Mosaique.   Mosaique creates a well-rounded experience for its members. In addition, our members have performance opportunities in three distinct and unique shows which serve as a vehicle to reach out to the community and promote Middle Eastern dance, music and culture in a positive light.

Q: How do I become a member of Mosaïque?
A: Go to the Membership page for information on how to become a member. Choose membership for yourself or get the whole family involved and save! You can join with your siblings, mom, partner, aunt, grandmother, anyone in your family!

Q: I'm not ready to commit to membership. Can I try out some classes first?
A: Yes. You can use the drop-in option to any of our classes, or use the Trial Special (3 classes for $30). When you enroll in a full class session as a new student, the fee includes the annual membership fee. Visit the class schedule page for details.
